The new X3 includes Melodyne.  I have Melodyne Essentials and it is used for pitch correction.  But, I seem to do better with VVocal than I do with Melodyne.  Maybe since its integrated into X3 it will work better.

After exploring Melodyne Essentials last night I must conclude that the basic version does not have nearly have editing capabilities of V-Vocal. The detection algorithms seem better though, and shifting doesn't seem as prone to introducing artifacts. I see an upgrade to Editor for me in the future!

You will like Editor!

I did the custom install and I remember seeing v-vocal on the list so I don't think its gone yet. I also saw truepianos on the list too and it was not mentioned in the bullet points.

I did a custom install also and just ran it again and did not see VVocal anywhere. In the track view VVocal is listed with Melodyne under region FX but VVocal does nothing when selected. I'm not sure what's going on. VVocal is nowhere to be found on my PC. I still have X2a installed but X3 did not pickup VVocal or R-mix.

I just checked and I have V-Vocal and R-mix - didn't do anything special when I installed X3 to get them - they are just there!

I just want to note that my X2a is 32 bit and I installed the 64bit X3. I changed the install folder paths to be different so not to conflict with X2a 32bit. maybe this has something to do with it.

X2a 32bit would never conflict with X3 64bit with default install parameters. They use different directory trees. This sounds related to the CA2A issue.

But if the guy is doing a fresh 64 bit install then he hasn't got any 64 bit V-Vocal and R-mix to copy over from the previous install as the directory tree was 32 bit. Makes perfect sense that you won't have them if they were never there (in 64 bit format).

I could not agree more. This was the first time 32bit/64bit install was ever mentioned. As I said there is another thread about another missing plug-in on the same computer.
