I will probably try and get it after release next week, and it's not in my budget at all. But it seems so spectacular that I feel I owe it to myself as a lifetime pianist to experience this product. I don't know how much I would use the unusual samples, but the C7's and the Rhodes, Wurlies, clavs, Sheesh. It's irresistible. It's only money. I don't need to eat....

OK, hang on a minute.

I heard the video demo, fell in love with it, it's great and so is the product. Spectrasonics puts out some killer stuff . . .  BUT the video itself is 110% marketing at its best. It's not an independent review, obviously.

To hear an amazing top-level keyboard talent gush about how great it is, when they are playing on a great controller with no latency, sound coming from pristine hi-res monitoring system, really big speakers (at LEAST two) placed at ear level at correct distances from the playing position . . . no doubt some or most players would gush enthusiasm. I would, too!

And I think I still like the product, because it's an amazing "all in one" collection, but have yet to be totally convinced that it's the "game changer" and I already have some nice-ish keyboard plugins. If anyone went "meh" they obviously wouldn't include that in the video . . .

<economic disclaimer: If it were $99 I'd buy it immediately and profess eternal fealty to its righteousness>

A shorter version of this post might be:

HYPE ALERT!

have fun, I'll read your reviews as you post them!

That's why we're all waiting for the reviews from early adopters. I hope to be one of them.

Welp...since I'm first in the Sweetwater pre order line, I'll wring it out and give a report as soon as I get it. That said I'm betting that I'll either be gushing and cooing just like all those other keyboardists or using terms like "what a crock" or " Eric Persing can just kiss my rusty butt". Pretty sure it's gonna be gushing and cooing though.

The thing is, it is a Spectrasonics instrument. If they have ever made a bad instrument, I haven't heard about it. Omnisphere is still my go to synth even though I have actual synths. i have not had many projects where it isn't used all over. So, yeah, it is a leap of faith at this point, but I'm feeling pretty good about it, lol.

Dan

I'm looking forward to getting it installed but it ended up costing more than I wanted to pay overall. I now have the cost of a Samsung 2TB ssd, for slot 2 of the laptop, included.  At least I have room for Mercury now, and then some...

All the comments about Spectrasonics are spot on as I have never received anything 'Bad' from them and, for some reason, their software doesn't seem to have noticeable issues. I was going to do the 'lite' install but now I can load the entire thing around the same place as the exisiting 'Steam' folder.

You all realize this is a KEYBOARD VST, so your controller will weigh heavily (no pun intended)on how it sounds and "feels" to you along with your audio/monitoring chain
weighted keyboard with proper velocity specs is a must

now I am a key guy, so does it sound good, yea
do i need or want all the toy/special pianos? not in my studio,
acoustic piano is the bench mark because, really, there are so many just as good EPs and clavs
so discounted 340 for an acoustic piano for me?

have fun with it guys

No notification as yet from Sweetwater about having or shipping Keyscape.  And it's not listed as yet on their site.  Sigh.
