I wanted to see how I and my Laptop got on with Kontact Player, but when I try to run the Downloader for the free content, it crashes. I'm on Windows 10
 
I've emailed tech support, but wondered if anyone had a suggestion that may resolve.
 
Same result on my Windows 7 laptop too.

Try using Native Access to install.
That might solve the problem...

Thanks, didn't even know that was there. I've installed the player fine, just the contents. It said on the email that that the service centre would be in the file with the downloader. I looked up the  Service centre and it didn't say it was valid from Windows 10, so I thought best to wait. 
 
 
Logging the call to give them the crash report was a faff. It didn't have an option for Kontact 5 just 4, as far as I could see, but there were hundreds in one drop down menu without alphabetical sorting.
 
Trying to find third party stuff seems cryptc on their site too. I was looking at Sonic Couture and Sample Modeling on their site earlier, but I have no idea how I fund that before. . Their search won't find them.
 
They seem to rely on the new customer knowing their stuff, rather than laying it out for a new customer to find it intuitively.

The Sonic Couture stuff was there purely because of the Half Off Sale that NI was having...
That was an exclusive to NI sale I believe, and that's why it's gone now...

I was looking for samople modelling earlier, and on the NI site to see if I could download from them, I found them, but it linked me to the Samplemodeling site. No idea how I did that earlier

I have the full version off Kontakt, and have been having problems getting the Service Center to work properly, of late.
 
I too have just downloaded the Native Access, and will try it out for checking for any Komplete 8 Ultimate updates.
