After Windows 1709 update on my Notebook, 2017.10 went into Demo mode. Ok, no problem, started CCC.
I have not started Sonar immediately, but when I started "Congrats. Sonar is no longer running in demo mode. Enjoy".
Rapture pro is also happy.
But guess what? CA-2A went into demo mode!

This is the kind of thing that makes you wish somebody was home at the Cakewalk store.

Fortunately no need for that. It has re-authorized automatically.

So my post is just the information for other:
a) it was known that AD2 has to go on-line after any major Windows update, but with Sonar that was not happening with me before (while I should admit I was always starting it after any update with Internet connection enabled)
b) it is worse to independently check other CW components after update

I *think* (based on seeing it in another post of yours, and knowing that English is not your first language) you are confusing 'worse' with 'worth' in this sentence. Thus, it is *worth* checking other CW components after an OS update, meaning a good thing, rather than worse, which would mean, well, not a good thing.

Is this really still valid advice at this point? It kind of feels like you might as well be saying, write your question on a piece of paper, seal it inside an old bottle, and send it off across the waves, you're sure to get a reply sooner or later!

You are absolutely right, my spell checker is happy with both (why they are not "smart"?) and I have forgotten the difference (if I ever really knew it). Thanks!
