Thank you Cakewalk. I've only used Sonar since the initial release of X1, but for the first time since I made that decision I feel really good about it. I also feel good about the staff and the devs and their attentiveness during the last few days.

I don't care to speculate about what a merger or a sale or an absorption might do to the future of Sonar. I care about enjoying the software that I use to capture music and about it working with me. So right now I feel good about Cakewalk.

So thank you guys, and congratulations on your finest release!

+1!

I have a good feeling about this one! Tried doing a lot of edits on the fly just now, and I feel it works smoother than earlier versions (or more "gapless" if you like).

It seems very sharp so far for me. here's a quick tip  : double clicking eq toggles between opening popout eq and closing it, no need to use the tiny arrow thing. Really loving the EQ!

Yes! A very big thanks to the entire team at Cakewalk. Especially Seth, Andrew, Ryan and Noel for keeping on top of the posts, answering questions, and just being there. I feel the future of Sonar is a bright one. Kudos.

And I love the finger swipe to FlyOut the EQ in the PC. Thanks for that too!

Try using touch on the EQ nodes as well.  Supports multi touch :)
A pinch will adjust the Q as well (if I recall correctly a vertical one)

Yeah I gave it a go but I'm not getting the pinch to work. I can turn them on and off, but to do Q, I found myself moving to the pot.

so... I can't manage to adjust Q with my fingers in the fly out screen without using the Q pot (nob).

I can't reset the value of a node to 0 by double clicking on the gain pot with my finger. It works with the mouse though.

I can turn the node on and off and sweep freqs and change gain.

Ok, I got the Q change with the diagonal pinch.

What I did wrong at first...
I touched and moved a node adjusting gain and frequency... then I put down another finger while holding the node in focus and tried to slide my finger in and out to adjust Q.

The right way...
To adjust Q, lift your hand off the screen first, releasing the node. Then put two fingers on either side of the node and spread and pinch diagonally.

It's going to take practice...
Half the time I try to adjust Q I move the node in gain or frequency.
