Why are we last to see there new features of x3 from vendors and not CW .. Seems marketing care less for loyal customers..
Ok that's aggravating .!!
Now we have to pay $200 for an upgrade for what features that are fixed and meylodine .. No hapless audio, I see zero groundbreaking ideas . I hope we're missing something big .. I for the first time in 10 years have no urge to upgrade at all...

The upgrade is actually $149 for X2 Producer users. $200 for earlier Producer versions (at least I think that's what Noel was saying or Andrew... can't be arsed to double check). Sweetwater messed up.

The way they have the upgrades structured is very confusing though.

There could also be an upgrade from x2 producer to x3 studio offered for a lower price. We will have to wait and see. If so that may be a good path for those who just want the improvements but not the added plugins etc.

But as I said we will have to wait and see.

If the upgrade was $99, I'd upgrade immediately, but for $150, I want to know the full specs and even then I might wait. I think that's too high for an upgrade. I'm just sayin'...

I agree with you .. $99.00 I'll pick it up Np.. I also hope were able to do a Clean install.

They have indicated that X3 will be a full release, and as such will install and stand all on its own, so X2a and all prior releases will also stand by themselves and be untouched by X3 installation.

I was thinking about this yesterday. How exactly does that work as a Producer user? It's hurting my head trying to figure out exactly what would happen if I snag Essentials or Studio. If I did all my tracking and editing in the lesser X3 version will I be able to drag everything into X2 for mixing (I know there's know way for anyone but maybe the Baker's to know this)? What about the PC? I forget if Studio has the PC. Ugh... better not think about this just yet. I'll give myself a headache.

It's 1.55pm here in the civilised world.

Do I wait another 5 minutes or go and mow my lawns?

I have thought about Studio as well. Andrew did say that The PC in studio has two modules without the flyout EQ. Producer has 8. I own them all, but the flyout EQ and Tape sim are unique to Producer. I own Melodyne single track, so that's a redundant purchase. I think all things considered I'll wait until I can get Producer.
