Hi Larry
Do you have a link for this - I'm sure I'm being dim, but I cant seem to find where to download this from and I'm still using (well sort of!!) service center!!
Cheers

Why do they need it on their site when you should have it installed on your computer?

I've just installed Native Access for the first time and already I'm disappointed. There seems to be no way of getting any information on the updates. The Service Center was a POS and screwed up my Komplete install on more than one occassion, but at least you could get a little "info" on what the updates were actually for. Also, the default file locations are completely ridiculous. What would be so hard about getting all of your established file locations from your current install of Service Center, if available? God knows how many people are just going to presume that Native Access is intelligent enough to know where your stuff is already installed - they're going to have a lot of cleaning up to do.

I mean their default location for VST's is Program Files/Native Instruments/VST Plugins for chrissakes. So by default, they would be installing VST's in a location that I'm guessing the vast majority of users don't use to keep their VST's.

It's the little things that make you realize just how competent a company is. Native Instruments you suck.

Now I'm afraid to hit update in case the whole shebang is as catastrophic as my Service Center updates were.

Interesting sharke. That did not happen to me. It installed updates to my stuff exactly where I put them the first time.

When Beta Testing I just installed it...reset the paths to my paths....and all was good...

Not so difficult.  Granted, they should have it "look" for your install
locations.

Once it was running I think it's better then the SC, and there is still
info available on the updates, I believe that all you have to do is just
click on the available update and it will give you the info...|

Same with the Product...hover over the Icon for the product, ellipses will appear,
click the ellipses and product info will appear...

Yeah I get that it's easy to change the install paths, I just think there are a hell of a lot of people who are going to presume that it's business as usual (as per their Service Center updates) and are going to click "update all" without realizing that NI has chosen some boneheaded alternative locations behind their back.

No go on clicking on the update for the info unfortunately - I just did that and it went ahead and updated the product (to the wrong location since I didn't change my paths yet) without giving any info.
