Can anyone explain to me the purpose or meaning of this clown frenzy in the media? Sometimes I notice trends from brief snatches of BS I catch on FB but I don't have the heart to research it properly. Anyway I will slap the jingle bells out of any clown which comes near me, nasty things.

Apparently there are teens going around dressed as 'Killer Clowns' jumping out and scaring people...apparently it's reached Northumbria...I can't see the clowns lasting long, can you?

I guess it depends. There was an incident a week or so ago in the southeast US (South Carolina IMS) where kids were saying they saw clowns in the woods trying to lure them in with candy and money. It may just be a prank but that is taking it to another level and deserves some attention and vigilance.

I might start carrying a bucket of glitter and a squirty flower around with me just in case.

There was a clown that knifed a kid yesterday. It's friggin ridiculous. Then my nieces' and nephews' school is allowing parents to keep their kids home tomorrow because they had a death threat by some clowns. The more it's being reported the worse it's getting.

What amazed me about the South Carolina story, at least I think it was that one, if not it was some other state or locality is that apparently they already have a law banning anyone over 18 from dressing up as a clown.

I mean, why? Did someone say, years ago, "one day, maybe not for many years, but one day, ne'er-do-wells may dress up as clowns and go around frightening kids and being a bit of a nuisance! We must ban this weirdness forthwith before it is too late!" and the locals all nodded in agreement or what?

I think there's laws in most places not to have sex with sheep...
