Sonar's midi editing is way way easier than cubase or reason for the simple idea that you can view multiple tracks at the same time in one prv screen.
Incorrect. Cubase can do this.
I believe swamp wanted to say in Sonar you can open multiple PRVs with different groups of instruments and lock the contents and dock the screens into the MultiDock, because even Studio One can also show multiple tracks at the same time in one PRV.
not really... this is what i meant - you open multiple tracks in sonar in one prv, and there are track indicators on the right of the prv that show you which track you are working on. cubase's method is more convoluted because the editing selection is locked to clips not the prv as a WHOLE. sonar otoh has all kinds of handy utilities, including track locking for each part and a track selector.
first cubase with two midi clips. you set the coloring to parts and this is how it shows up - the dropdown at the top is a clip selector...
if you have multiple clips to work with this becomes amazingly convoluted because you need to know the name of the clip to choose...
and in sonar, it's just easier to navigate, esp with the track selector menu and track tools at the right of the screen...
