I hate this about Sonar. Things disappearing. The tech support guy was playing with my project over "remote connect", and now the Inputs/Outputs view disappeared from individual tracks. I do not remember him changing any settings. It would be less frustrating, if I could just go and turn it back On, but nope- can not find it. The way Sonar designed- you can be working, having great ideas, ready to record, and next thing- you can not set your inputs, and you have to stop everything and do research. I know- there must be view settings somewhere. I found metter settings, but not Ins/Outs. Help me find them, please! Thank you.

Try holding SHIFT and pressing the left or right arrows on your keyboard. It might just be that your filter settings changed what track controls are exposed.

No kidding! It did reappeared! And I supposed to know about this how?

Any way... while I am on this topic... Why is it that my Komplete soft synth is set to MIDI one for drum and MIDI two for Pad. I set MIDI track to Input Ch 1, Output 1, and it plays drum. I set keyboard to Ch 2, In and Out of track to 2, but it plays both drum and pad sound? ...I remember back in the day when Logic was for Windows... if I select Ch. 2, it was playing sound on Ch. 2. Why in a world I hear both sounds with Sonar? Thank you.

Is there a MIDI ch. for arppegiator? The arp. was on. Now that it is off, the Midi 2 sound is Pad as expected. When Arp. is on (Sonar arp, not Komplete), I hear both tracks. Are there settings for arpegiator midi out? Thank you.

umm..think this is all covered in the early pages of the manual no?.

a)  in the track view header there is a pull down menu that allows you to select what is displayed along with the tracks.. options are all, custom, mix, fx, I/O, items are then prioritized within those groups based upon space (width, height) available for the track

b) in the track inspector, the I/O are always shown. Also, if you select a midi track the arp setting appear in the inspector window.

There are only "Clip", "Notes" and "Automation options. It does not let me select if I want to display Ins/Outs or not. I would think- it is somewhere easy to find, but it is not. Also- there are arpeggiator settings but they do not have "Arp Send Channel" option to specify, so it does not answer why it sends on both channels. Thank you for your post.

That's the Edit Filter; there's one in each track header. What you need is the list box immediately to the right of the time display above the track headers.
