Seth Kellogg [Cakewalk]
We have surveys that go out every year to the entirety of our user base.
Just a point to think about. There's quite the pirate presence on the forum, I know if I was a paying customer, I wouldn't want them dictating how a company spent my money on improving the software I use. I've reached out to a lot of these individuals before and they just disappear.
As a side point, in seven years as a user / customer I've never seen such a thing, so unless it was just me that was excluded for some reason, you might want to also consider the possibility that your survey of the entire user base might not be as complete as you thought.
carry on..............

Thank you! I just noted this and will pass it on to marketing.
Do you get any of our other e-mail material?
Seth,
I too can confirm that I've received all of *1* survey in my three years as a registered member (13 years as a Cakewalk customer). And I do receieve the regular Cakewalk marketing e-mails every couple of weeks.
Also, I might note (of little significance as it may be now) that in that one survey I got, I did express my hope for another update for X2 before all focus shifted to the next retail release. I relate to the folks who've had to work around some genuine potholes and speedbumps, who'd come to depend on more than one bug fix tune-up per release. Alas.
I may need to join the crowd waiting in the wings for a while to see what all X3 brings to the table. To be fair, though, that's pretty normal routine for me. I didn't jump on board X2 or X1 right off the bat either. Though I'd not be very surprised to see more people mirroring the same behavior this go-around, in light of the big changes and the communication niggles over the past months.
Granted, my perception of the Cakewalk user base is fairly limited to the scope of this forum, which, as stated, appears to be in the minority. But the sentiments felt by numerous peeps here certainly aren't ISOLATED to the confines of the forum. Plenty of people, Cakewalk customers included, simply don't use forums in general. Doesn't mean they're not experiencing several of the same issues. Always worth keeping in mind, IMHO.
