  • A new one on me-Won't split

I brought in some waves I did on my BR800
One track has a gray vertical line with a + sign at the bottom that has something to do with the problem.
I wanted to start editing out some bad notes by splitting but none of the tracks split where I want.
The only split that happens is on the one track and only where the gray line is.
Has anyone seen this?

The gray line might be where I did a record punch in on the BR800.
The track won't split anywhere else. It's as if it imported the split

My workaround was to export the waves, make a new project and import the waves.
The other file seems to have this "+" line that does not move but locks the trimming to it.

Are you in "Enhanced Mode"? Press "0"on the numeric keyboard to exit (or enter) it. That will cause splits to happen in apparently random places and other strange occurrences.

Is that what that is? It's been like that for several versions (0 makes a white line on some clip and after that you can't split clips). What else does "enhanced mode" do?

I bet that was it, thanks.
I can't be sure as I trashed the old file when I got the new one going.

You could hit the number pad 0 again and try to reproduce the problem. IIRC, the number pad 0 invokes features intended for the VS-700 (and possibly other) controllers.

Lol ok now I'm afraid to screw this one up....Ok did it after a save and yes that's exactly it. It puts a line with the plus sign in a random location. Or at least I can't see why it does it there.

now we both know, thanks
