It appears to be for GarageBand 11. What does Pro Tools have to do with GarageBand? Nothing you do in SONAR is going to change how GarageBand works. You raise a few good points to discuss with your collaborator. I thought the guitarist also had Pro Tools and Logic. If so, those might be better choices than GarageBand for this project.


Because he was using a mac I assumed he maybe using Logic or Protools.  Will his files work properly when I import them back in if I am using 32bit or will I have to convert them to 32bit first and then import?

Yea, the files will work in SONAR. Given the apparent limitations of GarageBand, if the guitarist is running OS X 10.8.4 or later and has a spare $200, Logic X might be a good upgrade .
