Back in S6, it was easy to add gridlines that follow snap. It's still possible, but the path is a little round-about now:
1. Set the Edit Filter to show transients on an audio clip.
2. Right click that clip with the transient tool, and choose Pool > Add MBT to Pool.
3. You'll now have pool markers in the timeline with corresponding gridlines in the track pane that follow the snap grid.
4. Note that the pool line interval may not immediately reflect a change in the snap grid until you change the timeline zoom level.
5. Once you have pool lines showing, you don't need to have an audio clip in the project any more; that's just to get you access to the transient tool's context menu. This means you can enable them in a new project using a dummy audio clip, then delete that clip, and save the project as a template.
