  • V-Vocal menu grayed out on 64 bit machine - OK on 32 bit maching

Heading says it all. Just tried selecting a mono vocal  clip and making a V-Vocal clip on my Win 8 64 bit running X2a and found the V-Vocal menu grayed out. Tried on my older Win 7 32 bit desktop running Sonar X2a and with the same clip was able to make it onto v-vocal.

Any idea of what I might had done to get this-I'm assuming it's an operator problem.

Thanks,
Fred

I don't have V2 but the usual fix for greyed out V-V is to bounce the clip first?

Does VVocal work for any clip in any project on your Win8 machine?

I've had problems using V-Vocal if Audio Snap has been enabled on the track or clip - so try bouncing the clip or track, which usually works.

Still NG
Thanks for th inputs but still no V-vocal on the win64 machine.
To be specific, I
1 Tried bouncing mono clips
2. Did no have any audio snap on any clips
3 The win 64 machine has V-vocal ALWAYS grayed out no matter what clip I use. {I've tried at least 6 clips-some old and some just created}

STRANGE,

meh
I think the issue is when you installed on the 64-bit machine you did not include the 32-bit components.  If you re-install and include the 32-bit components I think you will be back in business.

Any idea where the V-vocal program is actually installed? I've looked all over my 64 bit laptop but cannot find any reference to a program /dll.

I'm away from home right now but will check on my 32 bit system when I get home.
Thanks,
Fred

There should be 3 files in this folder:
Cronus.dll
VpEnc.dll
VpSoloDec.dll

Home again.
Yup those three files
Cronus.dll
VpEnc.dll
VpSoloDec.dll
are in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\VVocal on my 64 bit machine.

Still grayed out however when I try to convert a clip to V-Vocal.
Bummer
