First in advance am a new-newbie to Sonar DAW system.  Have X2 producer.
Had 32 bit installed and worked with a few hours, but fell back to other DAW got
used to.
Anyway need to be able to run more VSTi's , hence need more memory.
Did the install for 64bit yesterday, tinkered about a little last night.
Seemed to function properly...except one item.
Rapture and a few more VSTi's were installed in the process.
Only did the primary install, for 32 bit synth's already existed.
I can access and use them in the 64 bit system.  Especially the XLN Addictive keys.
When I first boot 64, the entire library of the 32 bit VSTi's and plugins are loaded
before 64 actually screen starts.

Under Preferences>File>VST Settings>  Uncheck Scan for VST Plugings on Startup

What am I doing wrong?
Is there some sort of a "pre-load" then save function, so pointers don't have
to be set on each boot?
IK and Addictive keys do run just fine once X2 booted.

Thank you in advance!

It's been awhile since I did this but make sure you check what the 64 but version of SONAR is scanning as VSTs. You do not want to scan the 32 bit VST folders in 64 bit SONAR or you'll wind up with 32 bit and 64 bit instances of the VSTs.

Mr. Mook,

First love your Avatar.  We live very rural and have several cats.

Life has been interfering with my music, sorry bout delay on response.

Late last evening, I eliminated couple of VST demo's..expired licenses.
Primary reason for not installing 64 bit was ideas the 32 bit VSTi's would not
run 64 bit install.

Been running out of VSTi memory, no surprise there.  With reading and couple
users on another forum, understood that 32 bit and 64 bit could co-exist on the PC.
Have the entire library of IK Sampletank goodies.

Think may have to live with this.
Reasoning on my part is the some of the IK VSTi's load extensive library listing on
startup.

Thank you!
