Bit...
Not too impressed with the nylon emulation, but it works.  The production is great however and one thing that is rare for me is to like the actual sound of the lead vocal.  Your vocals are very relaxing to listen to.  I might say even ditch the [obvious?] doubling of them, as imo it really isn't needed.  They're strong enough on their own and I'd even bring them up a bit.
Maybe limit some of the string/pad stuff by bringing it in and out....like you do the slide guitar....which does work for me.
Great stuff.  I've lurked listening to your other stuff, and it's all good.  You've got a good ear for production.

Thanks, mixmkr. Yeh, that tune was a quick knockoff on a Saturday afternoon, but that's how it usually goes for cover songs. Maybe I'll make an exception in this case, revisit it some rainy day and do a proper mix. Yeh, I think I'll do that. Thanks for the nudge.

Always loved this song and you treated it with great warmth.  Nice.

Definitely turn up lead vocal.  Sweet cover.  Such a laid back delivery on the verses.

Hmm, that's four votes for turning up the vocal. Interesting, because when I listen to it, the vocals sound way up on top, almost too loud.

This might be due to the "listening to your own voice" syndrome, wherein one becomes hypercritical of small flaws in their own voice that they'd otherwise overlook. I do cringe a little when I hear it.

I'm not in love with my own vocals, either! But I turn 'em up anyway, because most times it's the lyrics that deserve the spotlight that volume gives them. If the lyrics are twaddle, then mumble away and keep them buried in guitar mud - who cares?  :)

For some songs I wish the vocals were buried in a deep noisy hole.

And to add a counterweight to your opinion, I'd say your voice is remarkably pleasant and consistently enjoyable.  Turn 'em up!

cheers,
-Tom

Great job on this, Bit.  Might like to hear the vocals up just a tad.
