Glad to hear it, Dick. My guess would be that this issue is interface driver-specific. I'm curious whether another suggestion made in the other  thread applies in your case. This has solved other interface-specific issue for me in the past:
 
"If I stop the recording by pressing R on the keyboard and then pressing the spacebar to stop playback then my recordings are fine"
 

Dave, I tried that too. No results however in my system. If I hit 'R' again, during recording, the wave is there till that moment of hitting ´R´, while Sonar keeps running. As soon as I hit space or click stop, the wave is gone, forever.
