Share Drivers with Other Apps is checked under Options > Audio and I can play an MP3 outside Sonar but I don't get sound from a web tutorial. Anyone know why?

Is it specific to that web tutorial, or to web-based sound in general? Maybe it's the web-based player that's not playing nice. You might try downloading the tutorial and playing it locally in WMP. If a download option doesn't exist, you can use one of several free video-capture browser plugins to snag it.

Could be any - or anything on the web such as a utube vid.
 
I rarely read the manual :) but sometimes I check out a virtual instrument tutorial and it's frustrating to get no sound outside Sonar. It's not true ALL the time either, that makes it harder to troubleshoot.
