Doubt if a PCI USB card will change the interrupt structure that leads to those DPCs, except make it worse. I'm wondering if there is some way to go into the mouse configuration settings ("properties" associated with the driver you installed with the mouse) to make it less aggressive in sampling the mouse position or generating interrupts when the mouse moves.

following your advice regarding mouse software and drivers I did uninstall all steelseries stuff and no changes at all. The thing is that this is only happens in Sonar, not with another software or whatever situation

Bringing this one back to see if anything has improved...

I submitted my problem report, and Cakewalk is asking for me to call their tech support number. With them being on the east coast, and the hours of my work, it is difficult to get a chance to call.  Cakewalk says it's a setting or configuration issue.

On a side-yet-related note, I have my PCIe Firewire card installed, and it did not help at all. Despite being a TI chipset, it has offered no increased performance or the ability to obtain smaller ASIO latencies.  The buffer size seems best at 96 (set via MixControl, and roundtrip is 7.9ms.  No matter if running on the PCIe card or the motherboard's Firewire port, these settings offer the cleanest and most-stable performance. I guess the LSI chipset on the Asus P5Q is fairly compatible with the Focusrites.

Iceaddiction, have you made any progress?
