  • Thinking about upgrade to sonar x2 from sonar x1 (p.2)

Just to be sure I got it right: when upgrading to Sonar X2, you can import the preferences and other settings from X1? It would make life easier if the upgrade configured the audio, vsts folder settings, etc.

Yes, that's exactly what happens. When installing X2, it will ask if you want to migrate your settings from X1 as long as you keep X1 installed.

I would recommend that you keep X1 and use it until . . .

1. An X2b update comes with fixes
2. or wait until X3 is released, and spend your $$$ on it
    and get the producer version, with all the good stuff.

A new version do not always make it " better ".
As long you can do what you intend with it, then there's no reason to upgrade ?

I myself was a bit to hasty doing that . . thinking it must be better, even if there was many post on the forums about  " bug's "
some small ones and other nasty creeps 

ohh well !
