I think you'll find that's what he means. Uncheck the "Keep track/console visibility states in sync" option and then you can have different tracks showing in both. That's how it works here.

OK but I have to click on a track every time I open the track manager for it to work properly.

Have you tried..... hiding the tracks in Track Manager with the option to sync checked.

Then... uncheck the sync option and make them visible again in Track view?

It's a bit of a pain I know, but if it works..........

If you are addressing me then yes I have tried what you suggested. The Track Manager still does not show up in the console view. The option is there but it does not activate when I click on the option.

So much for backward compatibility. This is only happening in Project/Songs I created in earlier version Sonar 8.5.

Support had me check registry settings and all was well there...then we opened a current song created in X1 and I had no issues. It has something to do with the upgrade path according to support. I don't know...I followed the same directions for upgrading that we all did and changed nothing during the install.

What I meant was, from Track View, hide the tracks that you want to see in console view, with option to sync checked.

Then in Track View again(!) uncheck the sync option & make the tracks you want to see visible in Track view visible.

Don't go into Console view until you've done the above steps.

Yes...I tried this with no luck.

After trying Jonesey's suggestion I found an issue/bug between the Track Manager and the SCREEN-SET views which may tie in to the original problem.

Follow this...using the "SCREEN-SET" buttons for changing views.

Button 1 -Is set for my "TRACK VIEW" I click 1 and use Hot-key "H" and the Track Manager shows...I can open and close and it shows every time. I can work on any track in this view and whenever I use the "H" Track Manager shows every time.

Button 2-Is set for my "CONSOLE VIEW" I click 2 and the console shows, Very important...I do not click on anything else other than using the Hot-key "H" to show the Track manager...it pops up and  I can open and close it as often as I want. BUT-- If I then work in any area of the console view (change volume etc.) and then use the "H" key or the drop down menu for Track Manager the track manager does not show.

No matter where I click in console view to try to re-enable it will not work. The only way to get the Track Manager to show up again is if I go to SCREEN-SET 1 and then back to SCREEN-SET 2 and as long as I do not click on anything it will show using the hotkey...it will not show at any time using the drop down.

ALSO-Again using SCREEN-SET Numbers...when using Track Manager in console view,  if I hide tracks (remove check) and close Track Manager they are still in the console.  But...if I go to Track View and back to console they are then gone.

This is quite aggravating...am I the only one having these issues?

You may have "Locked" your screenset which will keep bringing the hidden tracks back into view. Make sure the screensets are not locked.

Lock is definitely not on.

I've had X1 for a little over a week and just discovered this same track manager issue in the console view. By trial and error I was able to narrow it down to the TTS-1 synth. If I delete the synth from the rack, the track manager functionality returns and operates as it should.

Haven't figured out what to do about it yet, but thought I'd pass on the info in case it helps someone.

UPDATE (to #19 above): After further experimentation, I found it's having synth tracks in a folder that's causing the issue (for me). I opened one of the projects where I was having this issue, removed all synths from the common folder I had them in and the functionality of the CV track manager returned.
