hi everyone, this is real hard to explain, please bear with me. in the track view and the track manager I would usually have my audio tracks I.E. 1 threw 6 then I would have the MIDI tracks I.E. EZdrummer 7 threw 15, there would always be a different configuration separating the audio and MIDI. now when I start a new project I insert blank audio tracks then insert ezdrummer however there is no more separation, they all look like audio tracks. how can I post screenshots of what i'm talking about??

From the insert menu you should be able to insert both audio and midi tracks.
 
There is a type of all in one synth track, but I don't usually use them. I like to have a separate midi track from the synth.
 
I usually add soft synths using the insert synth and then follow the prompts to select what I want. Don't select single instrument track if you want 2 tracks.
