Hello all
I have previously used transpose function with audio clips successfully. I have used it with small clips or a full mix.

Recently I have tried using the same method, i.e. select audio, select process> transpose - nothing happens. I don't get an error code or a progress bar at the bottom.

Can anyone give me a clue what to look for?
Thanks
John

Are they normal clips? No V-Vocal or Groove clips?

They are just normal clips. Last attempt was a full backing track, stereo mix which I wanted to drop 3 semitones to suit my vocal range. As I said in my post, I had done just this previously  with success.

The transpose function is for MIDI, For audio you need to use V Vocal or any plug in that is also designed to change pitch.
Make sure and have a backup of the track as it can become pretty nasty sounding sometimes.

Try this first:

Process menu > AudioFx > Cakewalk > Time/Pitch Stretch 2

But there is a "transpose audio" -feature, isn't there? I remember using it occasionally as well with no problems. IIRC I haven't used it in 8.5.

Hi Kalle Rantaaho

I was just searching for this exact problem and then found a possible solution.
I changed my stereo audio clip to mono and this allowed me to transpose with no problem.

hope this helps
