Actually the way X2 handles views is not that different from the way Sonar 8.5 did.
You can dock a view, you can float a view, you can maximize a view and so on. What X2 brings to the table is a more robust docking that also can be floated to another monitor. As well as simpler keyboard shortcuts.
Screen sets will also help with all this.
I recommend reading the manual and becoming familiar with how things are done in X2.
Jack what you have done is start out with a faulty premise. That the view features in X2 are troublesome when in fact they logical extensions of the way Sonar 8 worked.
