My old computer crashed (Dell with Windows 7), and I just got my new computer (Dell with Windows 8). I'm taking on the tedious task of uploading all my software onto this new one, and things have been going semi-smoothly until today. I had problems with my interface (M-Audio Mobilepre USB) because its been discontinued, but it seemed to be doing its basic job yesterday. But today I go on, and I try to record a guitar track and I see that audio is going in (and even recording) but nothing is coming out at all. When I finally mess around I get sound out of it, but just an extremely loud noise.
Before I open my Sonar Home Studio 7, I can play Itunes and all kind of things over my interface, but when I open my recording software, anything I try to play is that huge noise. Due to the driver problems that come with having an outdated interface, my computer recognizes it, the control panel for it says it is "not connected". I've tried everything I could think of and I'm stumped. Please help!
