  • Are there any Kontakt or Dim Pro sample libraries out there with Korg T1 sounds?

I was asked if there were any sample libraries for Kontakt or Dim Pro, with the sounds from a Korg T1, and when I went online to look, quickly found it a daunting task to wade through all the sites - and I have not yet found any.

So, I am hoping someone has an idea of where such a library can be found.  I have a friend who owns a T1, but doesn't want to have to lug it around for gigs, so he is hoping to find an available sample library that he can load into his much smaller and lighter laptop, for live performance.

It seems it is mainly the T1 string sounds that he is seeking, if that helps.

Thanks,

I went looking while waiting to see what spectronics is releasing, found that the Korg Legacy M1 pack as of version 1.5 shipped with the T1 expansions, but when I checked the current release, I could not see T1 directly listed, but according to the specifations it either has them or they can be loaded into the VST.

WOW! Thanks SO much for the above.  It was like looking for a needle in a huge haystack, when I was looking for commercial and freeware sample libraries for the T1 sounds.

I just finished checking out the above, and I just sent my friend an email with the links and some info from the Korg Legacy Synth collection M1 component (and the others).  The M1 synth comes with some of the T1 sounds, and it also allows direct import of T-series System Exclusive data, which work on the PCM wave files that come with the M1 synth, so all the T1 and other T-series factory or user sounds can play from the M1 synth.

I am pretty sure my friend will want you to marry him.  hee hee

THANKS!!!

FWIW, You won't find any commercial libraries (from 3rd party developers) of ROMplers.
The samples are copyrighted.

The Korg VIs are in some ways better than the original hardware.
ie:  The virtual M1 has a resonant low-pass filter.

Yeah, that makes sense.  Thanks.  I sent the other links above to the friend of mine who had asked me to look, and he is likely going to stay up all night tonight reading and plotting to purchase the Korg Legacy Collection.

It looks pretty cool.

I have Native Instruments's FM8, which will directly import and play all the DX anything from Yamaha, but that doesn't involve any PCM data, so it's quite a different situation - but with the effects processing in FM8, a lot of those DX type sounds are pretty cool.  (I found something like 20,000 sounds in SYSEX format for all sorts of DX TX etc components, all free).
