Hello,

I just was browsing through some projects I never finished from 2009, I really wanted to use the same sounds from some 32-bit DXi instruments (specifically Native Instruments FM8, Absynth 4, etc...)

I now am running on a 64-bit OS, I am guessing there is no way to get this done?

Thank You,
Adam

The only way I know of would be to install the 32bit version of SONAR and the old DXi versions of the synths. Then it would be possible to save the presets.

I doubt it'll ever happen given the limited audience, but I would love to see a 32>64 bit DX bridge.   Even after a few years on 64bit, I sill occasionally miss some of the old DSP-FX series plugins.

You can use DXi in Sonar 32 bit but not in 64 bit version. To use that in 64 bit Sonar,
you will need a DXi to VST wrapper. I read it somewhere in Sonar forum. But try this link http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=177538.

Thanks.  I'm pretty sure I've tried this one before, but I downloaded it anyway just in case it's a newer version.

If I recall correctly - and that's normally a stretch - older DX/i plugins would only load if they're DLLs, but some of the older CW plugs are a different format (which I do not recall at the moment).   It may have been those using the non-DLL format that wouldn't load.

For some reason I have this aversion to ever installing a 32bit version of SONAR...
