Susan.

Thanks for the response. I think this is pretty much what I've been looking for. Especially being able to export and overlay it on another instance. I'll probably go ahead and get it in the next week or so.

Oh...one more thing...

I suppose if you really read the manual, you'll find this stuff for yourself. But apparently I didn't, because I had to have someone else on this forum point out one of the coolest, completely non-obvious, features of GlissEQ. If you hold the Ctrl key and click and drag across the spectrum display, it will solo a notch of whatever frequency you're at so you can get an audible cue as to the range you might want to be messing with.

Hi Dan-

Yes! That's also very cool, and one of the things I meant about reading the manual. It's got these almost throw-away tips that are really valuable when you get into it a bit.

Thanks-

I also like gliss for the visual stuff and ease of use. The dynamic nature is also great. Lately though I have been gravitating to ApeEQ. While it is not dynamic and has no overlay fynction, Its spectrum anylyser is the best, and it can do m/s. When comparing it to gliss it has a much smoother high end to me.

I see a lot of recommendations for Gliss, but no mention of Fabfilter EQ.  Just judging from the videos, Fabfilter strikes me as the more polished product.  Any comparisons between the two in terms of ease of use, quality of sound, and CPU overhead?

Pro-Q was not available in March 2008 which is the most recent post in this thread prior to yours. The new product announcement for Pro-Q was in November 2009. Why drag up 4+ year old threads?

Sorry.  I misread the date.  I thought that was earlier this year.

This one is quite good, too.

So it's a 5-year old thread (where have you gone, Susan?) - the question remains relevant. I used to be a GlissEQ user and liked it a lot, but then a few years ago I got Pro-Q  and quickly retired Gliss. In GlissEQ's defense it does have several features that Pro-Q doesn't, is less-expensive, supports a larger UI and performs equally well as an equalizer. I just prefer the ergonomics of Pro-Q and the convenient band-solo feature.
