I have an AD2 kit setup the way I want it except I am looking for some triangles, chimes, or something similar. Can't find anything in my kit pieces that would seem to work.

Anyone here know if AD has any triangles or chimes or if they could be created? I hate to pull in another drum vsti just to get those percussion elements...

Rick

No, it doesn't (or if there they've done an excellent job of hiding 'en).

If you have Sonar Producer or Platinum you can probably find both in Dimension Pro.

If you have Kontakt
- you can probably find some free triangle & chimes or

AD2 doesn't come with orchestral percussion. I'm sure you are aware of higher end and pricey instruments, so it might be worth mentioning, that TTS-1 and Roland GS have some passable sounds and also SD3 SmartLoops kits have some better percussion sounds including triangles.

I've just complianed to them on Saturday at their lack of development in the kitpeices, they've added nothing in the last visits to the studio.. They love their handclaps, but no shakers, cabasa or anoy of that type. I also mentioned triangles. They could easily take 3 sizes of three metals and sell them as a single kitpeice.

I bought a Triangle 2 months ago.

Chromopone is my only other percussion synth, great fro chimey sounds.

Please eamil them as well, maybe they'll start to get the picture.

Triangles are used in many types of music from Cajun to Funk.

If you have EZ Drummer and the Latin Percussion expansion, it has all of those instruments.  Short of that, you can do what others have suggested and search through the Dim Pro (or Kontakt if you have it) factory library.... You might get lucky.

When XLN did Session Percussion, they wanted to make a drum kit tryp set up, but with Latin Percussion, instead of just providing Latin drums. I get their idea. and I like the idea too, but I don;t see why they couldn't have made use of all those flexi slots that are empty fro a range of other Latin percussion instruments.

One may use any orchestral instrument in any other genre and vice versa

Rick I know you were looking for something within AD2, but seeing you/we don't have much if choice...take a peek at Brio Percussion from Indiginus. Very good stuff at a good price.

I already own Brio along with the other Great Indiginus offerings.  I was just hoping to get by without instantiating another instance of Kontakt. Perhaps I could load it into a slot on one of the existing instances of Kontakt and slip it onto another channel.

I sincerely appreciate everyone's suggestions and help.

Kind regards,
Rick
