I know they are on the ProChannel Strip, but I got Rematrix Solo back.

I enjoy the Style Dials so I'm putting in my request.

I guess this frog was hibernating and is not aware that no one will hear his croaking..
Please read the top sticky thread.

I don't see anything in the stick about this specifically, but I am busy at the moment and don't have time to study it like scripture.  Can you just tell me what I have missed about Style Dials while hibernating?

I do see MANY people writing threads about the specific VSTs they would like Cakewalk to unlock.  Everybody has something they miss.  We know it is possible because other companies are doing it.

Thanks @cactus music

What version of SONAR do you have?

OK so you are aware that there is no longer a development team at Cake so requests are pointless.

This request may not be but it would help to know which version of SONAR so I can keep the typing to a minimum.

The Style dials are developed by cakewalk (not a third party plug in). Since there is no more development team for Cakewalk, there is no way make these accessible outside of sonar.

However, Scook might have some hidden feature up his sleeve that I do not know about.

I'm on Sonar Platinum. I'm enjoying my lifetime membership by crossgrading to Cubase 9.5 Pro.

Years ago I worked for awhile on the Paramount lot.  And when they cleared out an office they just threw everything in a dumpster.  I looked in one of the desks and there was still money in a drawer.  A lot of money.
And there was a "Star Trek" set that they just trashed. Somebody might have paid a hundred thousand for that. They did that kind of stuff daily.

The way that Gibson operates under CEO Henry Juszkiewicz reminds me of this kind of thinking. Along with trashing all their faithful Sonar customers, they are trashing Gibson Guitars.  (If you haven't seen the YouTube videos, they attack them with hammers, rather than give blemished guitars away.)

Soon all the dominos will fall. RIP Gibson.  You were a grand old American brand.

I am liking Cubase though.

The style dials are PC format FX Chains that control plug-ins you already have in a regular Platinum install. The plug-ins are Boost11, PX-64 Percussion Strip, TL-64 Tube Leveler and VX-64 Vocal Strip. These plug-ins are not locked to SONAR and my be used in any VST host. AFAIK, the style dials did not reference more than one plug-in each.

Yes, I have seen that I have all those plugins, and I appreciate that.
Perhaps you could fill me in a bit...

Boost11 is one knob peak limiter.
TL-64 is a one-knob tube leveler.  I'll have to experiment and find out what that means exactly
Percussion Strip is a complex thing with many parameters, but it does have a tube saturation slider
Vocal Strip also is complex, and has a tube saturation slider.

The only one-knob plug I'm aware that I own is the Softube Saturation knob.

I recognize that I can accomplish whatever I want using all the plugs I have. That's what I do when I mix.

But sometimes I don't work towards a finish, I just play for fun. One of the things I loved about Sonar is I could just  pull up a knob and make something louder or add ambiance.

If it bugs me I can buy the Waves OneKnob series  That's currently available for $52 at AudioDeluxe. I might do it.
