Since upgrading to X2, more than half of my previous projects created in X1 will not load in X2.
'SONARPDR.EXE is not responding'.
Yay.
Is there a patch or ointment for that?

Do you have X2a?

Projects from X1 should load in X2 unless perhaps you are running Windows XP which is not supported for X2. Perhaps you have some faulty plug-in that's causing the problem. In that case, load the project in Safe mode and figure out which plug-in is the culprit.

Howdy and good morning.

X2 itself WILL load and run on a machine running XP, BUT the X2A update will NOT.  X2a requires a minimum operating system level of Windows 7 at a maintenance level of Service Pack 1 to even install.

If McMoore11 is indeed running X2, on a machine that DOES have Windows 7 with SP1, then by all means the X2a update SHOULD be applied.  X2a addresses more than 250 bugs, and is absolutely more stable than the base X2 product.

IF X2a is not an option, due to having XP, try loading the X1 projects in Safe mode, without loading any 32-bit plugins, to see if they will open that way.  IF you can get them open in that fashion, then it may be one or more 32-bit plugins not behaving nicely through the BitBridge component.  (None of this applies if you are running a 32-bit installation of Sonar, as BitBridge would not be running - it exists to allow 32-bit plugins to run in 64-bit Sonar installations).  If it is indeed one or more of the 32-bit plugins causing the problems, try swapping them out for 64-bit versions OR install a 32-bit version of Sonar and work with those projects in a 32-bit environment, where BitBridge would not be needed.

I hope any of the above helps, Mr McMoore11 (and anybody else),
