Yes, there are third-party patch libraries for Omnisphere. I even bought one once, but durned if I can even find it now. It vanished into Omnisphere's ocean of patches like a raindrop.

You might be able to find those 3rd party patches via the 2nd Patch Browse filter set to Author - filter 1  being All.
..or 3rd filter set to Author if you want filter 2 set to Type

That's all great input.  I've been creating sounds in Rapture and have finally figured out how to get close to what I am envisioning in there.  It's not very easy to use.  I know that Omnisphere has the sampling side of things, but is the synth side basically similar to rapture?

Also, I've found a bunch of places where you can buy additional patches - like this:

http://www.audiority.com/

Any of you have any experience with these?  It's kind of cool that these seem reasonably priced - you can buy a set of patches for Under $15.

I don't know how Rapture works, but the editing capabilities of Omnisphere are immense, both for its samples and its synth engine.

And as for third party libraries for Omnisphere, you won't need to think about that for a VERY long time, since there are thousands of included patches, its absolutely HUGE.

3rd Party Omnisphere patches try The Unfinished patch banks.  I have heard really great things about them, I don't own them they are on my wish list/to buy list.

I currently do not have any 3rd party Omni banks or patches - all factory.  there are close to 6,000 patches/combi patches once installed and upgraded.

just a ton of stuff in the factory banks.  BUT the factory bank has not been updated in a couple of years - your not likely to find Dubstep patches or arps or EDM patches - that's where 3rd paty banks could be useful.

just depends on what your needing.  just go through the factory stuff for a whle, there is so much there you probably wont be needed a whole lot to add to it.

That moving Rutger Hauer quote from Blade Runner was actually my first thought. It's one of my favorite movie lines ever. That entire soliloquy was his Hauer's own improvisation. An underrated talent, he should have been the lead and Indiana Jones the robot in that film.

BTW, I think the Omnisphere patches I bought were in fact from Matt Bowdler (The Unfinished). He's got several of them, and some good ones for Zebra, too.
