While I have some of the Music Lab products I find the OTS guitars to be more convincing. As a non guitarist I find being able to bash out chords on a keyboard and get realistic strummed guitar out to be quite inspiring.

Add automation of the strum position and fretting position and it gets much better.

That said I have not seen the latest Music Lab updates with the new song function. I will certainly be watching he groove 3 ML videos..

I think on this board, more of us would be interested in the AAS GS2 Strum product, largely because an intro version is packaged with Sonar.
 

 
Done! I just finished a series on Strum GS 2, and I have to say - it is fantastic! Anyway, it's not out yet. It should be released in a couple of weeks. Keep your eyes peeled on the Friday announcements from groove3. It's coming soon.

I just re-read my post and I think it unintentionally came off sounding like I think the video series is great. I meant that I thought the plug-in itself was great! As far as the series, I think each of you who watch it can decide for yourself how good it is or isn't :-)
 

While waiting for Eli's take on AAS Strum GS2, I have to say his Singer / Songwriter Production & Arranging tutorial is the shiznet. Quite inspiring.

I even had my 9 yr. old girl follow the Songwriting tutorial and then she taught me. She actually looks forward to learning that......which makes dad very happy. :))

Edith adds: Eli indeed has several tutorials on songwriting, like Songwriting Theory, Songwriting with EZKeys, and now Songwriting Production and Arranging. Nice to see how Eli uses IK Multimedia compressors and EQ all over, with some McDSP and a few others added in for good measure.
