It's always unfortunate when someone we like turns out to be a turd. My band opened for Waite on his club tour for his 1st solo album Ignition. He was pretty cool to us then and put on a great show. Who knows what happens to people, but I would think that someone like him who's been slogging around doing club gigs after doing arena's with the Baby's and Bad English has become more than a little jaded.
I commend you for your professionalism. I probably would have defecated and been unable to find it.
Also, *the talent* have good and bad nights. Maybe he forgot to take his geritol that day? Regardless, he should have been professional enough to go off stage or something before he blew his cork. Everyone says things they regret sometimes.
