Hello.  I am only now installing Sonar x2.  I got the "Producer" edition, and bought the install disks when I got the program.

I have some silly questions about the material on the install disks.

Disk 2 is labelled CW Loops and One-Shots.  The disc contains a set-up application, and .bin files labelled Set-up 1-8.  I am assuming this material consists of recorded loops and one-shots.  Can anyone tell me if the material is in .wav format, or is it some proprietary format?  I am further assuming running the set up application will load the material onto my computer.  Can anyone confirm?

Disc 3 has Dimension Pro on it.  Is this program free with the purchase of X2 Producer, or will I need to buy another license to use Dimension Pro?

Disc 4 is labelled X2_Content.  Can anyone tell me what this material is?

Thanks

Loops are Rx2 files, one shots are wav. The setup will install them on your machine.

DimPro is included with X2 Producer but has a separate installer. It also has it's own serial number which is in your store account. FYI, Rapture is included in X2 Producer is installed from the main SONAR installer. Rapture also has a separate serial number located in your store account.

The Additional Content disk has demo projects. You may want to browse the disk and see what else is there. I do not have the physical media.

The disks are organized similar to the download files. At the bottom of the installation instructions is a link to a description of the download files. Note the download names are off by one to the disk number. For example the contents of download file 02_SONAR_X2_Producer.part1.exe are on disk 1.

Thank you so much for your informative answer - that is very helpful!!

I installed Rapture at the time I installed Sonar, so I'm good with that.  I have NI Komplete, which includes the virtual sampler Kontact, so I might hold off on installing Dimension for now.

I also have spectrasonic's Stylus, which should play the RX2 files on the Loops disk.  I will look into it.

Thanks again.
