Hello;
I would like to achieve the following (in Sonar X1):
When I define a track, assign an VSTinstrument etc. (let's call this one "master track"), and play +/o record something on it, I'd like to be able to "hook up" one or more
other tracks (let's call these "slave tracks") to that first one, which should then be following exactly what is done there. Whatever is played or recorded on the master track should be also performed by connected slave track/s without having to actually clone / duplicate / copy-paste umpteen clips umpteen times. Think of it like stacking synths otl, a way to fatten sounds (like strings, orchestral pads etc.) without having to and manually replicate them.
[Back in the old Atari days of yore, there was a feature called "Ghost Of" (another track) on the Notator production software which would do exactly that. (Check out this nostalgic pic of the interface at ; in the track panel (3rd of the large/r panels (counting from the left to the right)) it's the lowermost point :}.)]
I figure the same would be achieved if one could assign more than one instrument to one track, but I haven't found a way to do that, either. I'm sure there is a way to do that, just haven't found out how to do it.
Thank you for any help you find yourself able to provide. Cheers - Saur
