How's that for a subject line?
 
This is really weird. For as long as I can remember, I've created a folder in Sonar for my scratch or master dry tracks or whatever, and I've named it Archive. I'm working on my first project in X2 and for some reason, I can shift+drag the folder up to the very top where I like it (and where I've always put it in previous versions), I save my projects and close down for the night.
 
When I open my project the next day, the Archive folder has sagged, crept, dripped, etc. back down to near the bottom of the tracks where I moved it from. I have other folders that are not at the top spot--but they behave and stay where I tell them to.
 
What is this? Can't a folder occupy the top spot in the track view? Weird huh?

Well--the screenset is on Main and it wasn't locked. I moved the Archive folder back to the top, then I locked the screenset, saved the project--but when I opened it, it was back to the bottom agian.  I tried a couple of combinations of locked and unlocked and the folder keeps dropping back to the bottom.
 
I think I have a poltergeist.

Screensets are numbered 0-9, you can of course assign a name to them, is this what you mean?
 
Folders can be placed wherever you want, there's no restriction.
 
Try setting up a new one and delete the old one?

Thanks for the idea. I tried cpoying the current screenset to antoher one (8) and then moved the folder to the top, saved, closed, reopened, and the folder is back on the bottom.
This is the only folder that behaves this way and I have several others. ??
 

Sounds like a corrupted project to me. I get weird things like this rather often that only affect one project.
 
Try moving a folder in a different project, save it as "test" or something, and see how it opens.

I suspect a corrupt screenset.
 
Try using one you've never used before - '0' for example.
 
Set your tracks & folders up the way you want, LOCK the screenset (if it's already locked, you must UNLOCK it, then lock again), save the project, close, re-open and try it.
 
If it works, you can duplicate this screenset to any other(s) of your choosing.

Well get this. I was trying to move on with my project because this issue of the sagging folder was not a show stopper and was causing way too much distraction from my project, and I looked up and noticed the Archive folder was at the top--where I left it/where I wanted it.
 
It remained again--the next time I opened the project. I didn't do anything differently--it just fixed itself. Very bizarre!
