Yes, I have used SEM 2.0 build 207 in SONAR X2a 64bit. I did not try any older build because, until build 207, the website specifically stated the plug-in did not work in 64bit SONAR. You could try manually registering the dll with regsvr32 after running the install. I believe the installer executes "regsvr32 SEM20x64.dll" as the last part of the install process so all of the files should be in place.

Hello again Scook and sorry to bother you.
Build 106 of SEM20, which NTONYX gave me, works fine in my old SONAR 8.5 running under XP (Not 64 bit), but as you suggested does not seem to work in 64 bit Sonar X2 under Win7.

Yo mentioned manually registering the dll with RegSrv32 and I have tried looking this up on line, but the help fom microsoft is way beyond me. I assume that I run the SEM20 Buld 207 istaller and when I get the warning message: "Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0X3" I should select the "Ignore" option (Not recommended) and then do the manual registration. If you have any helpful suggestions for how I do this bit, or can point me to a post which would help, I would be most grateful. At present I am transferring midi files to my laptop, applying SEM to them under XP and then transferring them back to my Win7 PC. OK, but cumbersome!

Again many thanks

There is something (maybe a virus scanner) preventing the installer from registering the plug-in. After running the installer and ignoring the Regsvr32 error message, manually register the plug-in. To do this,
Locate the SEM20x64.dll. The default directory is "C:\Program Files\NTONYX\SEM20".
As administrator run cmd.exe.
In the cmd window, change directories to where SEM20 is installed for example "cd \Program Files\NTONYX\SEM20".
Then register the plug-in by typing "regsvr32 SEM20x64.dll"

Dear Scook,
Thank you again for the help, and thank you for being so patient!
I just went to try out your suggestion and for some reason (best known to Mr Gates) the installer worked without any problem and now the demo version is working with Sonar X2 under Win 7.
Best wishes
Sam
