I have asked this before but time marches on and there are always new products.  Any one know of a good soft synth or Kontakt instrument for temple blocks?

I am quite surprised Vienna does not offer this.  It may be in the upcoming Hollywood Percussion, but that would be a lot to pay for Temple Blocks, and the product's instrument list and ship date have not been announced.

My Kurzweil PC2R has awesome temple blocks but the module works off and on.  I've sent it to the only authorized repair center I could find and the guy kept it for six weeks and sent it back just like it was.

Here is a link with several individual ones to download: http://mp3skull.com/mp3/temple_block.html

You could convert these and map them,

Does it work long enough to sample the sounds? If so sample each note and map it out in Kontakt.

The Maillard Reaction
I made my own temple blocks out of red oak.

Thanks everyone I am am embarrassed I didn't think of catching the Kurzweil when it is working and sampling the notes.  I could basically just go up the keyboard and record everything on one Sonar track and then chop it all up later.  I would have to figure out how to get that into Kontakt, but surely it isn't that hard.

Basically all you have to do in Kontakt is drag the samples from the browser on the left into the empty rack on the right, and it will automatically create an instrument with the samples mapped across the keyboard.
