I'm trying to get ARC 2 working.
It's not getting along with the plugin manager too well. hangs and crashes.

Anyway, if you have ARC2 installed and it works, where did it install itself?  'Program Files (x86)' or 'Program files'?
I have an IK Multimedia folder under 'Program Files (x86)' from ARC 1.1.3 which was originally 32 bit I think. So, I'm thinkin the new ARC2 version just went with the IK folder. But, it is 64 bit. Shouldn't it be in  'Program files'?
I'm referring here to the program (not the dlls at this point).
Hope that makes sense.

Any other generic solutions to getting ARC 2 working?

Thanks

I only installed x64.  ARC 2.dll is in Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins on my DAW

I don't think the location matters as long as where it is installed is one of your VST paths.  Reset/ReScan frequently helps, so I would give that a try once you very it is where it needs to be.

Thanks Bob. Yea, the .dlls can pretty much go anywhere I think. I was more curious about the program folder. In other words, during install, you are asked 3 things. where to install the program, the VST, and the VST64.
I would also assume that might have some bearing on how the program interacts with the 32 or 64 bit dlls.
I need both 32 and 64.

I thought that if a program is 32 and 64 bit, it should go in C:\programs and not C:\programs (x86) ??

So Bob, your IK Multimedia folder is under C:\programs ??

My IKM folder, including ARC System 2, is under Program Files (x86)

I have AT4 and ST3 on a different drive under Program Files\IK Multimedia

I originally had a problem with the measurement tool, but not the plug-ins.

If you have a problem after you update to 2.2.2, see this post

Thanks Bob. I think I got it working. Not sure but, I think the trick is to run the installer as admin (at least for my problem). Haven't got to the measurement part yet.  Did you have to roll back to 2.2.1 ??

No rollback.  Check the thread at IKM.  I put the instructions there based on what I got from support.  2.2.2 works fine.

I really like ARC.  A lot.

thanks Bob. I'll refer to that if something's broke.

You'll only need if the measurement tool reports a VPA Host error on startup.
