After a frustrating 4-month hiatus, I've finally put my studio back together. The new computer came a week ago and I've spent the intervening days in a marathon of installing plugins and a terabyte's-worth of sample libraries. The last component - speakers - arrived yesterday. 
 
New beginnings. I've even let go of SONAR 8.5 and have only Platinum installed on the new computer. I can now complain about Breverb just like everybody else. As a long-time fan of Addictive Drums, I think I'm going to enjoy that addition, but will be sticking with familiar stuff - Superior Drummer and Kontakt - to start with.
 
Now I just need a project...


And of course the most important part of your studio that none of us will forget, (Security)

This also means I can get back to writing for SoundBytes. Those guys were having all the fun without me. I think they must have been feeling sorry for me because David (our esteemed editor dmbaer) offered me first dibs on a prize instrument for November's issue. Pretty excited about that.
