+1 on loving X2a.  Every program has nuances and takes a bit to get used to.

+1000 on loving the user forum -- this forum alone makes Sonar awesome.  I don't post much but I ALWAYS find solutions to my problems, or get quick responses when I do post.  It's like having tech support sitting next to me all the time.  I would never even cross my mind to change.

Some of you, not all, are forgetting that for some, including me, Sonar is completely un usable. People who leave do it publicly in a desperate attempt to feel heard. Cake are completely silent. We have spent money, time, blood sweat and tears trying to sift through the endless possibilities of what could be causing the issues. We have tried. If sonar works for you, you're lucky. Be graceful with your good fortune and thankful. Spare a thought for those of us who feel cheated, alone, drained, angry and powerless and keep your smug opinions to yourselves. Shame on you.

If its that bad why not post in a thread what the problem is?  You say have spent lots of money? Where have you spent it, on what?

Then I think it is also important to know that Sonar X2 does work.

I'm reminded how I began building my latest computer.  The first thing I did was find out what hardware gave the least trouble to those on this forum. I kept notes. I read way too many reviews and then assembled the parts.

Anyone who didn't try the 30-day free trial before buying or upgrading to the product should blame himself. :-)

I've had a pretty easy time of it. There are Pro Channel issues that are well documented, but nothing fatal to my work flow. I love the PC actually and when you add in FX chains it's a pretty awesome setup. I had ADK built my computer. They did the install on Win 7 and Sonar, and they picked the interface. Most problems are hardware or Windows related I would think.

Sonar Producer X2a is extremely convenient and fun to use. I look forward to using it every day.

I’m also loving X2a on my w8 machine

But if I could get it to work properly on my Atari ST1040 then  I’d be over the moon

John, I'm surprised a Platinum member like yourself hasn't already spotted the threads I've started and contributed to over the last 3 months with all of my Sonar issues. And Jlien X - my PC is a custom built Audio PC with Sonar X2 already installed. Forgive me for trusting Cakewalk. So much hostility! I hope you remember what attitude you guys have decided to take towards people like me when YOU experience the same calibre of difficulties. I hope people don't mock you or kick you when you're down.

And for the record - I've not left Sonar. I've simply put it in the background until it gets updated. I've gone back to the stability of Home Studio 7. It's like paradise in comparison. I don't want to start a war here - I think it's a good thing that so many people CAN make Sonar work. Just don't be 'bad winners'. There are people on here who feel really crappy about having thrown money they barely own down the drain. Don't call them 'whiners'.
