If its that bad why not post in a thread what the problem is? You say have spent lots of money? Where have you spent it, on what?
Then I think it is also important to know that Sonar X2 does work.
I'm reminded how I began building my latest computer. The first thing I did was find out what hardware gave the least trouble to those on this forum. I kept notes. I read way too many reviews and then assembled the parts.
John, I'm surprised a Platinum member like yourself hasn't already spotted the threads I've started and contributed to over the last 3 months with all of my Sonar issues. And Jlien X - my PC is a custom built Audio PC with Sonar X2 already installed. Forgive me for trusting Cakewalk. So much hostility! I hope you remember what attitude you guys have decided to take towards people like me when YOU experience the same calibre of difficulties. I hope people don't mock you or kick you when you're down.
And for the record - I've not left Sonar. I've simply put it in the background until it gets updated. I've gone back to the stability of Home Studio 7. It's like paradise in comparison. I don't want to start a war here - I think it's a good thing that so many people CAN make Sonar work. Just don't be 'bad winners'. There are people on here who feel really crappy about having thrown money they barely own down the drain. Don't call them 'whiners'.
The reason I took up your post to answer is because this thread is about people enjoying X2. There are plenty of threads that are not looking at it that way.
It seems that when ever anyone posts something good someone feels the need to post the opposite. Over time that becomes a tiresome thing for many of us.
Also I thought your post was rude.
If you have tried to fix you problems on this forum by posting them good for you. But keep in mind we are just users like yourself. We are not tech support though we do have a good track record in helping.
I hope you get your problems solved and can join us in liking how well X2 does its job.
