Mr. torture
I am running Sonar X1 Expanded. I have a clip I want to do a reverse reverb effect to. I made a copy of the clip, reversed it, added a reverb in the effects bin. How do I print this to a new track so I can then reverse the clip again to give me the desired effect? I thought there used to be "Bounce to tracks" but I cannot find that in X1?

"Bounce to Track(s)" is in the Tracks menu in the Track View

would maybe try a send from the track (hit post fader and pull down fader completely).
bounce just the reverb track & reverse it

You set the reverb, in forward, to where you want. Do you want a long tail, short tail or a medium? Bounce that track to a new track. Cut away the un-needed bits. Reverse the remaining clip and add it to where you want it to be.

If I did this with a snare hit. I would leave the original snare hit where it is and place the hit from the reversed clip and blend it with the original so they hit at the same time. Then I would cut the reversed hit off leaving enough till it sounded right.

Reverse reverb is still a good effect.  Sometimes I find I have to chop it up and fade it to make it work w/ the forward/normal part.  It is a real artistic thing, as well as practical engineering (you don't want to mask the interior of the part w/ the reverb usually).

I use it on vocals as a lead in to them.  Very effective but you have to duck it under the vocals or it clouds them up.  All I usually want is the reverse reverb into the verse/chorus and I use a differnet reverb for the "forwards" reverb.  Same principle applies for most instruments - you only hear the reverse before the main sound.
