Hello all!
 
Tried installing Lexicon Surround Reverb from my old Sonar 4 disc, but I can't get it to show up in my list of FX plugins.  Does anyone know if it is just not compatible, or am I doing something wrong?
 
Also looking for good suggestions here how to configure a convincing surround reverb in X2, especially if I am out of luck with the Lexicon plug.  I am mixing a film and want to put certain characters into a large hall.  Ideally I could maneuver them within the space I create, but from my understanding I need a true surround reverb to have the voice "move" within the reverb space front to back, to center, etc.
 
Any and all comments and suggestions welcome!

If its a VST and not a DX, did you set up the VST scan to scan the folder location of the Lexicon's dll?
 
Or maybe you need to create a surround bus and then insert the surround plugin in the surround buss.

Yes, I put the Lexicon DLL into my VST Folder, but no luck.  I assume it is 32 bit so put it in the x86 Cakewalk folder (Panthsur.dll).
 
Not sure how I tell a DX from a VST - IIRC when I installed from Sonar 4 it was listed as a VST Plug-in.  It did install into the "Shared Plug-ins" folder.
 
Tried the surround bus too without any luck.

Just checked again - it was under "Audio FX" heading during the S4 install.

If it was in "Shared Plugins" it is a DX effect. I would remove it from the VST path and put it somewhere else, "Shared Plugins" would be the default location. You will need to register it with regsvr32. It will not work with 64bit SONAR because it is a 32bit DX effect.
