yeah, use the print screen button on your computer and save as a jpeg or gif pointing to which sliders you're talking about.
now that i read your post again i'm getting the feeling you're talking about your audio interface volume sliders.
screencast is done using a tool like smrecorder, which is freeware. http://download.cnet.com/...-13633_4-75332290.html

then, you can do stuff like this and post to youtube...  takes a lot of the asking for clarification questions out of the factor...http://www.youtube.com/wa...bOzk8&feature=plcp

swamptooth, it has nothing to do with the Audio Interface! this problem has been around for a couple of years since Sonar 8 to X2 Producer. My Interface (RME) it's been the same problem with a few other quality Interfaces. Thanks but I still have my ProTools 10 HD system. I like Sonar because it's simpler to use than my ProTools but the HD is rock solid.

i meant the audio interface volume sliders within sonar on the console view... not your actual audio interface. i always thought protools was abit easier to use personally for mastering and audio work but prefer cake for soft synths and fx routing.

Ironic, i have the same problem, except with me, it's only with audio i'm having volume cut problems, and it has only begun with X2. I've never encountered this problem until now.

Thanks swamptooth, ProTools LE is different from ProTools 10 HD being dedicated DSP are more solid performance wise. Work load wise there both similar. ProTools HD is very easy to work with, Sonar is simple to work with, great software! Thank you for your suggestions!

Same problem here.  Mackie Control Universal, SONAR X1.  Master fader instantly drops from unity to infinity, or IOW, all the way down.  I didn't see this problem until X1, and then not right away.
