I think your vocal is very nice, but I think the track could use a little more low end. 
Maybe you should  work a little more with the bass and drum sound?
(I'm listening on a pair of cheap headphones so I may be wrong)

I'm just curious.  I see it was written by Barry Mann, and I remember B. J. Thomas doing this back in the day, yet I see you made no mention of that.  I listened to the original on Youtube to be sure, and you did manage to replicate his version somewhat.  Though you did a fine job, it's always risky to do a cover song if you don't capture the essence of the original or recreate it so much that it becomes your own.  With the modern equipment that you have, I would think that you could have added something new to the mix.  Otherwise, it's OK.

I think you need to listen to anything with at least half decent speakers / headphones to hear what's going on.

BJ did a duet with Vince Gill which was an Interesting variation on the song.
I always associate this song with Elvis.
Even BJ made his versions sound more like the live Elvis arrangements when BJ ever played it later on.
I couldn't manage to replicate the playing style of the TCB band, (Ronnie Tutt on drums, James Burton on lead guitar, Jerry Scheff on the bass) but I did triy to capture as much of the mood as I felt it.
Its true that doing a cover is risky.
Maybe I should try to do a variation as you suggested, that would be fun and interesting to see what could be made of it.

I'm curious to know which sound modules you used to generate the drums, bass, brass and strings. To me it sounds very much like midi hardware sound generator modules. While these have their place, I think that for a showcase song like this to display your talents, Sonar offers better sound generators.
 
I think you  have a fine voice and your programing skills are fine, but it's the lack of solid bass and cheezy drums and brass sounds that let the song down. I agree with Lynn that doing covers is risky and you need to add something to make it your own. That could be as simple as changing the arrangement slightly, or using live instruments. You don't need to follow the arrangement or instrumentation of the original artist. Still it's a good effort.

I agree with some of the others.  First, you did a decent job on the music but it is very midi sounding and lacks a bottom.  As Lynn said, to avoid any trouble, you probably should credit the original writer and artist on your post.  You have a good start and you have talent but the mix is "thin".  Keep on workin, Wildman.
