I'm getting an "Unexpected Error...try again later" in FireFox 23.0 on the Mac for this forum. Anyone else have this issue? I'm having to revert back to using Opera. It could simply be that version of FF.

I'm seeing that when posting. First the "submit" button doesn't work a few times, then that message. Firefox 22 on Windows 8.

Answer seems to be to use the "full version" of the editor.

On the other hand, it just worked OK <shrugs>.

It's not FF. It's the forum misbehaving. I got a few of those errors earlier too. It's the same thing that used to happen on the old forum when it would hang/eat your posts. Now we just get a fancy error message.

We do know Mozilla upgrades FF often enough that other programs have a challenge to keep up as well, so I can't say it's totally a forum issue. I suspect Mozilla has instituted some new efficiency improvement that the software this forum runs on doesn't tolerate as well as FF expects, so I dunno. Not complaining--I'm sure Cakewalk won't like this, either. I merely wanted to ask as to make Cakewalk also aware so they can get back to their forum vendor and make a case, if what I see is really an issue or if it's just my browser. Thanks!

Most of the time my posts go through but I do have to hold back and not re-hit the Submit Post button. Yesterday I had the Server Error message. Seemed to go away later.

Could be a VM or even an AWS server, which would be at the whim of the VM host or Amazon if AWS, but that's not unusual for a forum to be on a VM host (for redundancy using VMotion) or in AWS, where the infrastructure is powered by Amazon, and resources are dynamically paid for as they are instantaneously needed. If the forum server(s) is too busy at a given time, this may be something that slows it down just enough that FF doesn't tolerate it, or vice versa.
