+1 for Free Download Manager.

Got it all downloaded and it unpacks now. However on install when it gets to the content its missing a ton of samples. WTF Cakewalk?
 
Ive never had issues like this. Complete BS. 2 days and still dont have it installed.

But wait... I think Ive got it.

Nope... I get all 4 parts unpacked and then I input the serial number and it starts the install. Then I get a message that a file is corrupt. 
 
It has Dimension Pro in the very long VST line. Content?

SO, did the check sum values match after the downloads?
 
If so, then the downloads are not the problem.  If not, then they are.
 
Are you running the install with all other applications closed AND antivirus software temporarily disabled, AND did you explicitly tell it to run the installer As Administrator?

rand new laptop. no av on here yet. Yup ran it as admin. It looks as though the Dimension exe is 1.6gb as well and not the 2.9 its supposed to be.
 I dont kow how to do the check sum thingy?
 

At the bottom of the X2 download instructions page are links to detailed information about the files including md5 hash values. You can use the md5 hash values with a tool like WinMD5Free to verify the downloaded files are correct. You may also want to try a different download method like the Free Download Manager suggested above.

This is why I always buy the discs.
